Monday – 9:20 – 11:40
Tues – 11:00 – 11:40
Wed – 8:40 – 10:40
Thurs – 8:40 – 12:30
Fri – 10:00 – 11:40
Sat – 8:40 – 10:00 (please note every 3rd Saturday is an Exeat weekend).

Job Purpose:
We are seeking an outstanding and inspiring 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil in our Year 7 cohort in maths and English lessons. The successful candidate will nurture and guide the child, fostering their focus, engagement, and participation in classroom activities.
This role is ideal for someone with a strong understanding of SEND support, including strategies for motivation, emotional regulation, and relationship-led practices. We are looking for a confident, value-driven individual with high expectations, ambition, and the desire to actively contribute to life in our busy Prep School. Experience of maths and English support is highly desirable.
Key Responsibility /Accountability
Teaching and Learning
Support the educational development of the pupil.
Deliver planned learning activities as agreed with the teacher, adapting where appropriate.
Keep the pupil focused and motivated by modelling positive behaviour.
Assist teachers with assessments, observations, and feedback.
Maintain records and contribute to evaluating the pupil’s progress.
Learning Support
Understand the specific level and type of support required.
Foster a sense of achievement and well-being in the pupil.
Adapt strategies and resources to meet the pupil’s individual learning needs.
Work with teachers to organise the pupil and ensure that lesson notes are of high quality.
Provide structured feedback to the class teacher and SENCo regarding progress and emerging needs.
Pastoral Care
Build a trusting, positive relationship with the pupil.
Promote self-esteem, confidence, and overall welfare.
Ensure a safe, caring, and respectful environment.
Model and encourage good manners, cooperation, and discipline.
Implement school behaviour and safeguarding policies.
