Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver high-quality lessons across all subjects, with a particular emphasis on mathematics and the sciences.
• Create a stimulating and supportive classroom environment that nurtures a love for learning.
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of Year 5 students.
• Foster a spirit of inquiry, creativity, and critical thinking in your students.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and support to help them achieve their full potential.
• Create a safe, caring, and nurturing environment where children of different backgrounds can flourish.
• Collaborate with colleagues to share best practices and contribute to the overall success of the school.
• Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance your teaching skills and stay current with educational best practices.
• Actively engage in the co-curricular programmes of the school.
Qualifications and Experience:
• Fluency in written and spoken English is essential.
• Preferably have an EU passport or already have the right to work in Spain.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Primary Education or a related field.
• Valid Teaching Qualification - PGCE/BEd or equivalent, EU recognised.
• Strong experience in international schools, with a track record of success in teaching primary students in the British Curriculum.
• Passion and flair for teaching mathematics and the sciences.
• Strong knowledge of, and experience in nurturing inquiry-based, interdisciplinary, project-based, and research skills, and their application in real-world contexts.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organisational skills.
• Accomplished in using technology and digital tools to enhance learning and teaching.
• Familiarity with current international standards and best practices in primary education.
