- Thailand
International School Bangkok is a mixed, mainstream, all-through with sixth form, international, independent school in Thailand. It has approximately 2,000 students enrolled.
International School Bangkok incorporates the North American and International Baccalaureate diploma. Founded by United Nations and American diplomat parents in 1951, it provided schooling for both primary and secondary education for English-speaking children in Bangkok. The school moved from the US Embassy grounds in 1960 onto Sukhumvit Soi 15 and a second campus was opened seven years later to deal with the increased pupil population. In January 1992, it moved to its current lotion and is overseen by parents who make up members of the school association and are elected to the Board of Trustees.

Visions and value
International School Bangkok aims to provide a caring and supportive environment so every pupil can achieve their academic potential, learn to become passionate, lifelong learners, understand their role as caring global citizens and to instil a desire for everyone to want to live healthy, active lives.
The curriculum strives to give its pupils transferable skills where they can apply their knowledge to new situations, always try to ask inquisitive questions, create solutions, communicate effectively and make connections across different subjects and life situations. While it prioritises subjects such as English, it also emphasises the importance of maths, science, the arts, P.E. and social studies. The curriculum follows a North American style and puts students at the forefront of the institution.
Teachers will work employees from over 20 countries and will benefit from working in a challenging, dynamic environment. Classes are small in size, the school boasts state-of-the-art facilities and technology and there’s a wealth of extra-curricular activities. Potential teachers need to be qualified, with a good command of both spoken and written English, and have the ability to work independently in a multicultural environment.
