Sage College is seeking an enthusiastic and committed German Teacher to join our team from September 2026.
This is a teaching role, delivering German across Key Stage 3 and up to IGCSE level.
We are looking for a teacher who can inspire creativity and artistic confidence, while also developing linguistic proficiency, cultural appreciation, and genuine enjoyment of the German language.
Additional Opportunity: Boarding Houseparent
For candidates who are interested, there is the possibility of taking on an additional role as a Boarding Houseparent within our on-site Boarding School. This role comes with additional remuneration, and accommodation provided on campus.
This combined academic and pastoral role would suit a teacher who enjoys contributing to students’ personal development, well-being, and residential community life.
The Successful Candidate Will:
Hold a recognised teaching qualification.
Have proven experience teaching German up to IGCSE level.
Have experience in a UK or international school following the National Curriculum of England & Wales.
Be a fluent English speaker, with strong German communication skills.
Spanish is desirable but not essential.
Hold an EU passport/status or valid TIE/right to work in Spain.
Demonstrate engaging, student-centered classroom practice and high expectations.
Be committed to contributing to the wider life of the school (exhibitions, cultural events, trips, school productions, language week, etc.).
If taking on the Boarding Houseparent role, be supportive, responsible, approachable, and confident working in a pastoral/residential context.
