About us:

Panyathip British International School, is a well-established International School. Founded in the academic year 2001 - 2002, Panyathip British International School comprises of three (3) schools i.e. Early Years School, Primary International School and Secondary International School, catering for students from 1 to 18 years old. Panyathip was the first International School in Laos to be accredited by the Cambridge Curriculum. Additionally, it was the first school in Laos to offer the International Early Years Curriculum (IEYC) and the Primary Curriculum (IPC). We offer a rich, quality education with affordable fees. The School caters for the children of expatriates working and living in Laos and for those Laotian children who want to attend an International School.

Panyathip British International Schools’ focus is on our students' well-being, through educational excellence and high standards. We create future leaders, who are equipped to become globally competent. Our community strives to enhance personal growth and moral values, as well as guiding students to achieve their full potential.

At PBIS, every student is encouraged to develop the skills they bring to school; academic, social, physical or cultural. Some achievements seem small for the school but are a major success for the individual and the school recognises this. The school develops a can-do attitude in all students, one that means they strive to achieve their personal best and to be proud of what they achieve.

We are a member of the prestigious Federation of British International Schools in Asia (FOBISIA) and in 2023 the school successfully completed COBIS Accreditation (Council of British International Schools).

COBIS:

Panyathip British International School is incredibly proud to announce that in December 2023, it achieved the prestigious Council of British International Schools Patron's Accredited Members status (COBIS). We are the only international school in Laos to receive this distinguished award.

We are also thrilled to have achieved BEACON Status in the 'Safeguarding and Safer Recruitment' standards. Beacon Status recognizes schools that demonstrate excellence in specific aspects of, or the entire, standard. As a Beacon school, we are committed to sharing our best practices with other schools around the world.

FOBISIA:

We are proud to be a member of FOBISIA, a member since 2018, an organisation of over 95 British international schools in 19 countries in Asia. Being a member of FOBISIA provides our students with unique opportunities to collaborate with their peers from across the Asian region and to compete in a range of competitions in academics, sports and the arts.

In addition, our membership gives us access to a wealth of professional development opportunities.

Safeguarding and Child Protection:

Panyathip British International School is committed to child protection, safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and adults. All applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening, including identity checks, qualification checks, police check from home country and most recent countries of residence and other appropriate criminal background checks, employment checks to include an exploration of any gaps in employment and at least two satisfactory professional references which will be verified.
