SNA-HCMC is looking for an experienced MYP/ DP English Language & Literature Teacher, to commence in AUGUST 2026. Candidates should already have a minimum of at least 02 years of teaching the MYP. Co-Curricular Activities (CCAs) are an expectation as we move forward with developing our CCA program.

Responsibilities:
• Familiarize oneself with, to respect and adhere to SNA school policies, practices and procedures.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with students, parents, teachers and others.
• Embrace and promote IB approaches to teaching and learning (ATL’s) in the course of daily teaching.
• Model the IB learner profile attributes.
• Positive attitude, growth mindset, strong emotional intelligence (EQ).
• Where applicable, assist students in the MYP/ DP exhibition.
• Participate in collaborative grade level/cross-curricular/cross programme meetings to develop the written and
taught curriculum.
• Commit to ongoing personal professional development.
• Communicate and liaise on a regular basis with department members with regards to planning, assessment,
parent and community contact, subject organization and classroom issues such including behaviour
management, expectations and routines.
• Communicate and collaborate with other school colleagues in an effort to promote social and emotional awareness.
• Take an active role in behavioral management and pastoral care of homeroom and other class groups.
• Attend and constructively contribute to staff meetings.
• Assist in supervision of student breaks when required.
• Coordinate class activities as deemed necessary.
• Maintain up-to-date records of assessment, attendance, planning, reports, conferences, and communication
with parents via ManageBac and Classdojo/Seesaw.
• Establish links with the parent community to ensure that parents are kept well informed about student learning.
For example, encourage parents to come to Parents as Learner (PAL) meetings, Student Lead Conferences (SLCs,) grade level exhibition, join the PTA etc.
• Act as a resource/contact/support point for new staff members (i.e. curriculum, schedules, procedures).
• Participate in and assist with school events as required and to complete any additional task(s) given by the MYP Coordinator.
Qualifications and requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Technology Design and recognized certificate in Education. Mater's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching an IB/ international school settings.
• In-depth knowledge of the IB MYP/ DP frameworks and inquiry-based learning approaches.
• Proven ability to design and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons for diverse learners.
• Strong classroom management and student supervision skills.
• Skilled in integrating technology and digital tools into lesson instruction.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Creative, collaborative, and proactive in contributing to school life and CCAs.
• Committed to child safeguarding and able to provide valid background checks.
• Willingness to participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and student activities.
