We are seeking an outstanding Primary Computing Teacher who is committed to high standards, passionate about digital learning, and eager to contribute to a dynamic and forward-thinking team. 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Deliver engaging and innovative Computing lessons in line with the National Curriculum for England, fostering a passion for digital learning and technology. 

  • Equip students with essential computational thinking, problem-solving, and coding skills to prepare them for future technological advancements. 

  • Foster a stimulating and inclusive classroom environment that encourages creativity, collaboration, and digital fluency. 

  • Integrate global perspectives, cross-curricular links, and project-based learning to develop well-rounded, future-ready students. 

  • Use a range of educational technologies, programming languages, and digital tools to enhance learning experiences. 

  • Support the safe and responsible use of technology, ensuring students understand online safety, digital citizenship, and cybersecurity principles. 

  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to embed digital learning across subjects, supporting staff professional development where needed. 

  • Engage with parents and the wider school community to promote an understanding of the role of technology in education. 

 

Experience & Qualifications: 

  • A Bachelor’s in Education with a focus on Computing/ICT or a BA/BSc with PGCE (or equivalent teaching qualification). 

  • Fully qualified teacher with QTS and at least one year of experience teaching Computing within the National Curriculum for England. 

  • Strong understanding of computational thinking, coding (e.g., Scratch, Python), robotics, and digital literacy. 

  • A commitment to raising academic standards and supporting students in developing critical digital skills for the future. 

  • An innovative practitioner who embraces research-led pedagogy and forward-thinking teaching strategies. 

  • Excellent classroom management skills, ensuring a positive and inclusive learning environment. 

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build relationships with students, parents, and colleagues. 

  • A reflective professional who is eager to participate in the school’s Professional Learning Community and engage in continuous professional development. 

 

Desirable: 

  • Knowledge of safeguarding and digital safeguarding to ensure students' online safety and well-being. 

  • Experience with STEM initiatives, robotics, or coding clubs to enhance students' engagement with digital learning. 

  • Familiarity with cloud-based learning platforms (e.g., Microsoft Teams) to support blended learning strategies.

Shortlisting & Interview Process: 

  • Shortlisted candidates will be invited to submit a video introduction showcasing their teaching philosophy and accomplishments. 

  • Successful candidates will proceed to an online interview with the Primary Principal and key school leaders. 

  • UAE-based candidates will be invited to deliver a 45-minute lesson observation followed by a face-to-face interview with senior leadership.
