We are seeking a passionate and experienced Music Teacher and Head of Performing Arts to lead our Performing Arts Department. This whole school position involves teaching music as well as overseeing the development and delivery of performing arts programs throughout the school.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Music, Performing Arts, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years teaching experience within a UK curriculum setting
- Strong knowledge of music education and performance techniques
- Experience leading or managing a department or team preferred
- Ability to plan engaging lessons for students at different educational stages (primary through secondary)
- Excellent communication, organizational, and leadership skills
- Proficiency with musical instruments and technology used in music education

Our curriculum
At The Royal School we offer an enriched, tailored delivery of the English National Curriculum. Our Early Years department provides a solid foundation with a child-centred approach to develop each individual child’s passion for learning. Our bespoke Early Years area provides a safe and stimulating indoor and outdoor learning environment. The best of current British teaching practices, taught by qualified and experienced professionals, supports learning and progress across the Primary department with specialists delivering MFL, PE, Dance, Art, IT and Global Perspectives. Arabic Language, Religion and Social Studies are provided and follow ministry requirements. In our Secondary section students continue to follow our British curriculum leading to Cambridge and Edexcel Examination Boards IGCSE and A level.
Our Unique Academy Pathways
A point of distinction at The Royal School is the student enrichment focus of Academy Pathways which students opt into from Year Three onwards. With our current options of Squash, Golf, Swimming, Music (choice of instruments or vocal), Dance or Art, the Royal School students may enjoy a weekly 2-hour focus on a pathway during the school day which enables them to excel in an area for which they have a passion.
