Literacy Coach

Yas School is currently seeking to recruit a high-performing Literacy Coach to join our team in August 2026 for the AY 2026-2027 or sooner if possible.

At Yas School, we deliver the Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum and have a special focus on inclusive education, enrichment and preparing future ready learners. Founded in 2015, we are the largest single-campus K-12 government school educating 1750+ girls and boys on our extensive campus.

We are seeking a proven practitioner, with expertise in UK or US curricula, and ideally experience with the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE) curriculum.

As a Literacy Coach, you will be responsible for implementing targeted literacy strategies as described in the literacy improvement plan: providing coaching and support for targeted teachers, team teaching, supporting the delivery of student intervention programs and developing effective instructional plans and resources.

The successful candidate should:

• Have a Bachelor’s Degree in Education or Post Graduate Diploma in Education
• Master’s Degree in Education/Educational Leadership or a related field is an advantage
• Be proficient in English (demonstrated by a minimum IELTS score of 6 or equivalent)
• Bilingual skills (English & Arabic) are highly desirable
• Hold a UAE Certified Teaching License/ equivalent, or working towards attainment
• Have 4+ years of classroom teaching experience teaching experience in either English or Arabic subject area
• Prior experience of coaching is an advantage
