Role Overview:
The Housemaster/Housemistress will lead the student boarding house community, ensuring a safe, supportive, and inclusive environment where all students can thrive academically and personally. This role requires extensive experience working with second language learners to support their integration and success within the school community. As Dean of Students, you will oversee student welfare programs and collaborate closely with teaching staff to promote positive behavior and well-being.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher from a recognized institution
- Minimum 10 years’ experience in secondary education or boarding house management
- Proven expertise in supporting second language learners effectively within an academic setting
- Strong leadership skills with experience managing teams or student groups
- Excellent communication skills across diverse cultural backgrounds
- Ability to develop pastoral care initiatives that foster student well-being and resilience
- Familiarity with UK curriculum standards and expectations

Wycombe Abbey School in the UK was founded in 1896 and is renowned for its academic excellence and the

The WAS Group

In September 2019, Wycombe Abbey Schools added another school to the Group with the opening of Wycombe.

Abbey School Hong Kong. Then, in September 2021, added bilingual schools in Hangzhou and Nanjing. Each of

the Wycombe Abbey Schools within the International Group will exist as an institution in its own right,

independently led and governed. Within this construct, the Senior Leaders will be supported by the HQ team.
