We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Secondary Department Principal to join our school leadership team. This role is ideal for an instructional leader who is passionate about improving teaching quality, strengthening student outcomes, and leading a collaborative and professional secondary department.
The Secondary Department Principal is responsible for the day-to-day academic and operational management of the secondary program, ensuring effective lesson delivery, strong classroom practices, high-quality assessment, and a safe and supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities
Provide strong instructional leadership to improve teaching quality and student learning outcomes
Lead curriculum implementation, lesson planning, teacher coaching, and classroom observation cycles
Manage assessment systems, student progress monitoring, and academic intervention plans
Support positive student behavior systems, wellbeing monitoring, and anti-bullying procedures
Coordinate daily operations: staff scheduling, duty assignments, and overall department organization
Maintain clear communication and reporting to the School Director/Owner and work collaboratively with administration
Promote a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement
Minimum Requirements
Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction or Instructional leadership (mandatory)
Proven experience as an instructional leader (department head, academic coordinator, vice principal, principal, etc.)
Minimum 5 years of secondary teaching experience (leadership experience preferred)
Strong knowledge of curriculum planning, assessment systems, and teacher development strategies
Excellent leadership, communication, reporting, and team management skills
Ability to work in a structured organization with clear decision-making processes
Strong professional ethics and commitment to student wellbeing and academic excellence
Compensation & Benefits
Net Salary: USD 4000.00 per month
Accommodation Allowance (provided monthly)
