As part of our expanding High Performance Sports Programme (PAR Programme Elite), we are currently seeking an outstanding and experienced High Performance Tennis Coach to join our elite sports department.
Position: High Performance Tennis Coach
Introduction:
As High Performance Tennis Coach, you will lead and develop our elite tennis programme, working with talented student-athletes who combine academic excellence with competitive sporting ambition. You will design and deliver structured high-performance training programmes and guide players competing at regional, national and international levels.
This role requires close collaboration with academic staff, strength & conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, boarding staff, and families to ensure a holistic development pathway aligned with the school’s values and performance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and implement structured high-performance tennis training programmes
Deliver individualised technical, tactical, physical and mental performance coaching
Monitor player progression using performance data and match analysis
Prepare athletes for regional, national and international tournaments
Coordinate competition calendars and travel planning where required
Collaborate with academic departments to balance sporting and academic commitments
Support recruitment of talented national and international tennis players
Uphold safeguarding and welfare standards at all times
Represent Sage College professionally at competitions and events
Skills and Qualifications:
Recognised tennis coaching qualification (e.g., ITF, RPT, RFET, LTA or equivalent national federation certification)
Minimum 5 years’ experience coaching competitive or high-performance players
Proven experience developing players for regional, national or international competition
Strong knowledge of modern tennis methodologies, biomechanics, and performance analytics
Experience working within structured high-performance or academy environments
Excellent communication skills in English (Spanish is an advantage)
Ability to mentor student-athletes within an academic setting
Driving licence preferred
