Role description:

The Deputy Head of Primary is responsible for the leadership and operational management of the School and for delivering the highest standard of education and pastoral care. The Deputy Head of Primary is a member of the senior leadership team and will be expected to contribute to the ongoing development of the School.

Main duties:

·        Strategic leadership and resourcing

·        Promote and participate in ongoing professional development

·        Set and communicate high expectations of the quality of teaching, learning and assessment throughout the School

·        Have the desire to work in a forward thinking international school

·        Be creative, determined, enthusiastic and resilient

Role requirements:

·        Experience in school leadership settings eg. currently a Key Stage Leader/Head of Department/Teacher with 5-8 years of teaching experience with leadership

aspirations will be considered

·        Educational expertise and a proven track record of developing and sustaining high academic standards

·        Ability and expertise to lead strategically as part of the Leadership Team

·        A cultural understanding and ethos to lead staff and students to continually strive for excellence

·        A belief in and a commitment to leading with emotional intelligence
