Egypt British International School (EBIS) is seeking a passionate and experienced EYFS Classroom Teacher to join our team for the 2026 academic year, aligned with our mission of Enriching – Exploring – Excelling and our core values of enrichment, empowerment, esteem, and excellence.

We are looking for an enthusiastic early years educator committed to fostering curiosity, creativity, and confidence within a nurturing, culturally grounded British-curriculum environment. The successful candidate will provide a stimulating and supportive foundation that promotes children’s academic, social, and emotional development in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) Framework.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related field with recognised Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ successful teaching experience within an EYFS setting, preferably in a British or international school.
  • Strong knowledge of the EYFS Framework and early years pedagogy.
  • Experience in play-based, inquiry-led learning approaches.
  • Skilled in observation, assessment, and early years progress tracking.
  • Strong classroom management skills appropriate to early childhood settings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Job Description:

  • Plan and deliver engaging, developmentally appropriate learning experiences in line with the EYFS Framework.
  • Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that supports exploration and independence.
  • Observe, assess, and document children’s progress using formative and summative methods.
  • Provide differentiated support to meet individual learning and developmental needs.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports in line with school policies and safeguarding expectations.
  • Build strong partnerships with parents/guardians to support children’s learning and wellbeing.
  • Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum planning and whole-school initiatives.
  • Promote positive behaviour, social skills, and emotional resilience.
  • Attend weekly CPD sessions and engage in ongoing professional development.
  • Contribute to enrichment activities and school events.

The International Schools Campus ISC first opened its doors in September 2006. The unique and global style of the school has proven popular and attractive to a wide variety of families in the area. EBIS is located in the very fashionable 5th District, a suburb of New Cairo and its modern amenities.

Today the enrolment comprises approximately 3000 students divided upon two Schools EBIS & Concordia). In the ten years it has been open EBIS (as part of ISC) has developed an excellent reputation both locally and internationally. EBIS is a COBIS member school and a member of BSME. EBIS has very successfully attended the COBIS Games in Abu Dhabi in 2014 and Athens in 2015 and this year will compete in Kazakhstan and Dubai.

The International Schools Campus (ISC) aims to provide a tailored British Education for students from Nursery to year 12. EBIS is a through school encompassing all four Key stages and a very well regarded Sixth Form Centre. EBIS offers the English National Curriculum at EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and a combination of GCSE, IGCSE AS and A levels within the IGCSE College.

From September 2015 EBIS introduced a new option based course available for KS4 that included a traditional UK style pathway. Within the appointments this year EBIS is looking for staff that can contribute to that KS4 and eventual KS5 programme.
