We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Class Teacher and Maths Leader to join our team from August 2026. This is a key leadership role within the primary department, offering the opportunity to lead and develop the teaching and learning of mathematics across the school while maintaining responsibility for your own class. The successful candidate will be passionate about raising standards in maths and driving a culture of high achievement, critical thinking, and problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver outstanding teaching within your assigned primary class, following the National Curriculum for England
* Lead the development and implementation of the maths curriculum across the primary phase
* Promote a mastery-based approach and build a love of mathematics among staff and students
* Support and mentor colleagues to improve the quality of maths teaching and learning
* Use data effectively to monitor pupil progress and identify areas for development
* Organise and lead maths enrichment activities such as competitions, themed days, and parent workshops
* Provide targeted professional development for staff to enhance subject knowledge and pedagogy
* Ensure consistency in planning, assessment, and differentiation in mathematics across year groups
* Collaborate with senior leaders and contribute to whole-school improvement planning
* Maintain effective communication with parents and the wider school community
Requirements:
* Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or PGCE with QTS
* Minimum of 4 years’ teaching experience, with recent experience in the UK curriculum
* A strong record of impact on pupil progress, particularly in maths
* Experience or formal role in middle leadership, preferably as a subject or phase leader
* In-depth understanding of maths mastery principles and curriculum development in primary mathematics
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* ADEK approval or eligibility is an advantage
