We are currently seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Primary Class Teacher and English Leader to join our team from August 2026. This is a key role within the primary department, offering the opportunity to lead and shape English teaching across the school while maintaining responsibility for your own class. The successful candidate will be passionate about raising standards in English and driving whole-school improvement in this subject area.

Key Responsibilities:

* Deliver outstanding teaching within your assigned primary class, following the National Curriculum for England
* Lead the development and implementation of the English curriculum across the primary phase
* Support and mentor colleagues to improve English teaching and learning outcomes
* Use data effectively to monitor student progress and identify areas for intervention or improvement
* Lead and organise professional development sessions in line with school priorities
* Promote a positive, engaging, and inclusive learning environment for all students
* Ensure consistency in planning, assessment, and differentiation in mathematics across year groups
* Collaborate with senior leaders and contribute to school improvement planning
* Maintain effective communication with parents and wider stakeholders

Requirements:

* Bachelor’s degree in Education (B.Ed.) or PGCE with QTS
* Minimum of 4 years’ teaching experience, with recent experience in the UK curriculum
* Proven record of impact on student progress, particularly in English
* Experience or formal role in middle leadership, preferably as a subject or phase leader
* Strong understanding of mastery-based approaches and curriculum development in English
* Excellent communication, leadership, and organisational skills
* ADEK approval or eligibility is an advantage
