About the school:

Roehampton Gate School (RGS) is a school for young people aged 9 - 16 and offering a Post 16 Campus from 16-19 with mild to moderate autistic spectrum disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. Financial Responsibilities:

  • Raising Purchase Orders on the Aspire purchasing system, ensuring the correct budget codes are used and prioritising orders in terms of school needs

  • Responsible for the management of the Petty Cash according to the Petty Cash policy and reconciling this to send to Treasury

  • Be able to generate reports on purchasing costed from varying budget codes and analyse for information

  • Ensuring that any invoices received are correct and include the relevant purchase order numbers before sending to Accounts Payable

  • Receipting goods on arrival and ensuring quantities match the delivery and delivery notes, dealing with any discrepancies and returns

  • Filing financial documents (Invoices, Petty Cash Control sheets etc.) by financial year electronically, including hard copies where applicable

  • Administering colleague expense claims and forwarding these to Treasury to process

  • Administering Ex-Gratia claims for colleagues

  • Supporting with other administrative duties and front of house cover when needed

Examination Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring smooth running of the examinations throughout the year by working closely with the Exams Officer and Head of Centre and to adhere to the examination regulations

  • To be aware of the JCQ General Regulations and Instructions for Conducting Examinations for the year and to keep up to date with any new changes.

  • Keeping good communications with the Awarding Bodies and JCQ

  • Administering Awarding Body approval forms, helping with examination entries and student exam timetables

  • Liaising between the Exams Officer and parents/candidates to ensure entries are correct

  • To keep the awarding body staff user accounts up to date

  • Ensuring examination paperwork is readied and kept up to date including the secure storage delivery logs, exam room posters and keeping up to date exam policies on file, ready for inspections

  • Keep track of certificates and ensure they are kept in secure storage until ready for posting to candidates

  • To ready results slips for candidates on results day

  • To aid with post results services

About Roehampton Gate School

Roehampton Gate School is a purpose-built day school for young people with autistic spectrum disorders, in particular Asperger's Syndrome and associated learning difficulties. It is situated next to the Hospital Roehampton. The school opened in April 2010.

The spacious and modern building has been specifically designed to accommodate up to 40 young people with autistic spectrum disorders and Asperger's Syndrome.

The classrooms are set up for specialist subjects including information technology, art, food technology, science and music, together with exclusive sensory and therapy rooms/suites or studios.

Roehampton Gate School is also uniquely placed to benefit from the extensive therapy and specialist mental health services provided at the Hospital Roehampton. Staff and students will also work closely with the child and adolescent mental health services (CAMHS) and experienced educational psychologists
