Due to the expansion of our curriculum programmes for A Level and Key Stage 4, we are looking to appoint a motivated and enthusiastic Business Teacher to start in August 2026.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching across the secondary age range and teaching the subject to BTEC/A Level.  The teacher would need experience teaching BTEC and therefore be familiar with the assessment, quality assurance and delivery of BTEC programs.

Business Studies, and BTEC Business Studies  are well-established and flourishing subjects within the school, attracting excellent pupil uptake and consistently delivering strong results.

The successful candidate  should be an inspiring teacher who can bring the subject alive. We are looking for a highly committed team player with drive, energy, and passion who will inspire a love of learning in their students. A good sense of humour and an excellent work ethic are essential.

Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Business Studies
- Plan and prepare teaching materials aligned with the Cambridge curriculum.
- Assess student progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Support students’ academic development and encourage critical thinking skills.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the overall learning environment.

Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Education, or related field (minimum requirement).
- At least 2 years of teaching experience, preferably within an international school setting.
- Strong knowledge of business studies content and BTEC assessment methods.
- Familiarity with the Cambridge curriculum framework for secondary education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate students and foster a positive classroom atmosphere.

The post involves the following: 

  • To teach IGCSE & A Level Business Studies/ BTEC Business Studies / or a combination of those qualifications.

  • Ensuring that prep is set and marked regularly in the department, and that marking is consistent with school and departmental policies;

  • To keep proper records of work done and pupil Student progress;

  • To help the Head of Department support pupils within the department and develop enrichment opportunities for them;

  • To work closely with colleagues and ensure correct provision for pupils is put in place;

  • To provide regular assessment grades within the context of the whole school assessment scheme, and termly reports on your students;
