About International Rural School
At International Rural School, we are committed to delivering a high-quality British education from Early Years through to Sixth Form. We are proud to be part of the prestigious Cambridge International Schools network and to hold accreditation as a British School Overseas (BSO), a recognition of our adherence to rigorous UK educational standards and our commitment to excellence.
Our academic programme is designed not only to prepare students for successful university access, but also to foster a lifelong love of learning.
Our ethos is grounded in personalised education. With small class sizes and a close-knit community, we are able to nurture each student’s individual strengths, interests, and potential. All teaching is delivered in English, ensuring full immersion and strong linguistic competence within an international context.
What truly distinguishes our school is our unique natural environment. Set within a forest landscape, we believe that learning extends far beyond the classroom. Our students regularly engage with nature, developing creativity, resilience, and environmental awareness through outdoor learning experiences.
At the same time, our proximity to Barcelona allows us to integrate rich cultural and social experiences into our curriculum. Educational visits to museums, factories, and workshops are an essential part of our approach, connecting academic learning with real-world contexts.
We aim to provide a holistic education that balances academic excellence with personal development, creativity, and well-being—preparing our students not only for exams, but for life.
