Early Years Teacher

RBIS International School is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Early Years Teacher to join our Early Years team. The successful candidate will be passionate about play-based learning, committed to supporting young children’s development through exploration and continuous provision, and able to create a nurturing, engaging classroom environment where children feel safe, confident and inspired to learn.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality Early Years learning experiences in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.

• Create a stimulating play-based learning environment where children develop independence, curiosity and confidence.

• Design and manage a classroom with effective continuous provision, ensuring resources support exploration, creativity and child-led learning.

• Observe children carefully and use assessment for learning to inform next steps and support individual development.

• Monitor and track children’s progress through ongoing observation and formative assessment.

• Foster strong relationships with children and families, ensuring clear communication about learning, development and wellbeing.

• Work collaboratively as part of the Early Years and Primary team, contributing positively to planning, events and wider school initiatives.

• Support children’s social, emotional and communication development through nurturing relationships and positive behaviour guidance.

• Maintain a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment for all children.

Safeguarding

• Demonstrate a strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.

• Follow all school safeguarding policies and procedures, reporting any concerns appropriately.

• Maintain high standards of professional conduct and ensure a safe learning environment where all children feel secure and supported.

Person Specification

The successful candidate will:

• Hold a relevant teaching qualification (Early Childhood / EYFS / Primary).

• Have proven experience teaching in an Early Years setting.

• Demonstrate a strong understanding of play-based learning and continuous provision.

• Have knowledge of assessment for learning and formative assessment practices in Early Years.

• Be a collaborative team player, able to work closely with colleagues and support staff.

• Be passionate about supporting children’s holistic development, including social, emotional and communication skills.

• Show strong organisational skills and a commitment to high standards of teaching and learning.
