Kosice International School (KEIS) is seeking an enthusiastic and motivated IB PYP Physical Education Teacher to join our international learning community. The successful candidate will be passionate about physical literacy, student well-being, and inquiry-based learning within the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP).

Physical Education (PE) at KEIS is a valued part of the curriculum, supporting the development of the whole child through movement, teamwork, personal challenge, and healthy, active lifestyles.

Ideal Candidate Will:

●      Hold a recognised teaching qualification

●      Have relevant experience teaching Physical Education at primary level

●      Have experience or be committed to the philosophy and practices of the IB PYP, continuing to build their knowledge and expertise in inquiry-based and concept-driven approaches to learning in PE

●      Have experience working with students from diverse cultural and linguistic backgrounds, fostering an inclusive classroom environment

●      Promote physical literacy, teamwork, sportsmanship, and positive attitudes towards health and well-being in young learners

●      Plan, facilitate, and assess high-quality Physical Education lessons aligned with the IB PYP

●      Demonstrate strong classroom management skills, creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

●      Show a commitment to differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs of all learners

●      Work collaboratively with homeroom teachers to support transdisciplinary learning

●      Organise, coordinate, and lead school sports days and related sporting events

●      Plan and lead after-school sports activities and clubs

●      Integrate technology in meaningful ways to enhance student PE inquiries

●      Be flexible, cooperative, and excited to contribute to a growing and evolving school culture

●      Engage in school-wide events, after-school activities, school clubs and collaborative meetings to contribute to the school community

●      Communicate effectively with students, colleagues, and parents

●      Uphold safeguarding, child protection, and health and safety policies

●      Be a native-level English speaker or demonstrate near-native fluency

About Kosice International School

Kosice International School (KEIS) is the first international school in Eastern Slovakia. Our school is an authorised International Baccalaureate (IB) World School offering the Primary Years Programme (PYP) curriculum with a particular focus on technology-enhanced learning. We are a candidate school for the Middle Years Programme (MYP) and are working towards full authorisation.
