You recognize that learning is not confined to a timetable. You are independent and confident, having an open mind and being able to give and receive constructive feedback is something you pride yourself on.
You are a Speech Language Pathologist with a Master's degree (or equivalent) and hold a Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP); you are a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association or another international recognized affiliated organization. You bring at least five years of experience working in an American, Canadian, or international school as a Speech Language Pathologist, demonstrating a high level of cultural competency. You have experience working with Primary School age students and possess developmental understanding of this age group. You are comfortable providing flexible service options, including small groups, classroom based, individual etc. You actively support the philosophy of inclusion and advocate and model inclusive practices in all interactions.
You have strong oral and written communication skills and you are an outstanding collaborator.
The Role: The Elementary School supports close to 220 international students. Above all you demonstrate dedication and passion for our school’s mission, vision, professional standards, and core values.
The Work: You complete standardized assessments of students’ Speech, Language, and Communication skills in order to identify needs, make informed diagnoses, and develop effective treatment plans, support services, and strategies that promote student success. That includes articulation, fluency, voice, and expressive and receptive language. You design therapeutic strategies and identify suitable assistive communication tools or devices when needed to support students’ communication and learning.
