Job overview

We are seeking to appoint an experienced Chemistry teacher who is a committed individual of high calibre to join our Secondary School. The person should look forward to delivering the highest quality of learning in a stimulating, happy and safe environment.

The ideal candidate should have experience in teaching the IGCSE, and/or IBDP Chemistry curriculum.

Requirements:

  • Possess an undergraduate Degree in Chemistry or related discipline, along with a recognised teacher qualification (e.g. Bachelor of Education, Postgraduate Diploma in Education or equivalent)

  • Have at least 3 years of experience teaching IGCSE Chemistry and IBDP Chemistry or GCSE A-level Chemistry will be preferred

  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal skills and a collaborative team player attitude

  • Exhibit a strong commitment and passion for Science Education and pursuit of scientific inquiry

Preferred Qualifications / Experience

  • Experience with curriculum development to create bespoke learning materials

  • Experience leading students on learning journeys in Hong Kong and/or overseas

  • Experience teaching across a wide range of student year levels

  • Experience teaching students with diverse learning needs, including gifted and twice exceptional students

  • Experience creating formative and summative assessment items for student feedback
