Inclusive Integration: Integrate communication strategies into the classroom environment to support pupils with learning disabilities in mainstream settings.
AAC Leadership: Lead the implementation of Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices and expressive/receptive communication systems where required.
Documentation: Produce comprehensive formal reports, well-sequenced therapy plans, and data-driven recommendations for families and external professionals.
Empowerment: Work closely with parents and staff to provide them with the tools to support students in areas such as joint attention, play skills, language acquisition, and articulation.
Candidate Profile
Experience & Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Speech and Language Therapy (or equivalent) and a minimum of 2 years of clinical/school experience.
Clinical Scope: Proven experience working with children (Aged 2–19) presenting with a range of needs, including:

Technical Knowledge: Proficiency in current SLC methodologies and familiarity with specialist equipment/software (AAC).
Classroom Management: Proven skills in positive behavior management and creating stimulating, modified learning environments.
Key Attributes:
Transdisciplinary Collaboration: Ability to work seamlessly with teachers, learning support staff, educational psychologists, and other therapists.
Innovation: A creative approach to designing specialized educational programs.
Sensitivity: The ability to communicate complex information to parents with empathy and confidence.
Flexibility: A high level of adaptability to respond to the evolving needs of the children and the school environment.
