Job overview
Dean Close Summer School is seeking enthusiastic, proactive, and energetic Activity Leaders to help deliver an unforgettable summer experience for international students aged 12–17. The programme runs for four weeks from July 8 – August 5 with international students typically joining for two weeks at a time (either July 8 to July 22 or July 22 to August 5).
Reporting to the Activities Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in creating a fun, safe, inclusive, and enriching environment for our students. This hands-on position includes:
Leading and supervising a wide range of afternoon activities and evening events
Planning sessions with the Activities Coordinator and ensuring equipment and facilities are ready
Leading excursions and supporting students in exploring British culture
Promoting spoken English through activities, games, and teamwork
Maintaining excellent safeguarding, pastoral care, and behaviour management
Engaging with students, staff, group leaders, and agents with enthusiasm and professionalism
Assisting with airport transfers
Participating in residential duties (if in a residential role)
The successful applicant will have previous experience of working for a summer school leading activities and events. Sports coaching qualifications are desirable but not essential. We are particularly looking for people who are qualified and have experience to lead our skills’ academies in
