About our Roles

Here at King's InterHigh and Academy21, our Leaders of Learning (Remote Teacher) contracts do differ from mainstream schools due to the nature of our business and ways of operating. As a Leader of Learning (Remote Teacher) you will be contracted to 42 weeks of the year, up to 38 of these weeks are contact weeks with the students, with the remaining weeks being available for additional activity such as course writing. For some of our teaching roles, we also offer an innovative and flexible Annualised Working Time Contract. More information on this can be found in the 'working hours' section of the 'role summary' on each advert. Applicants are encouraged to get in touch with any questions.

During the school day there are allocated breaks in the morning, lunch time and in the afternoon, with breaks in between each lesson also.

Our lessons are 40 minutes long which ensures the time spent in the classroom is value added and effective. A full time Leader of Learning could be given a timetable with up to 33 lessons, equating to 22 hours of contact time.

As a business and a school, we do not follow the Teachers Mainstream Payscale, we operate in line with our own salary bandings. Further information specifically for each role will be available via the job adverts.
