The core purpose of the role is:

  • To support the Head of Science in ensuring the highest standards of pupil achievement within Science in all key stages, inc KS5.

  • To lead, develop and enhance the teaching practice of all the teachers of Science, evaluating the quality of teaching and securing and sustaining effective teaching of the subject.

This is an excellent opportunity to become a leader in Science, teaching KS5, which will help shape the direction of this highly successful department to even greater accomplishments. This role is excellent for those aspiring to be a future Head of Science or senior leader.

St Angela's Ursuline School is a voluntary aided school based in Newham in London for girls aged 11-18. It is a Roman Catholic school.

The school was built in 1862 by the sisters of the Ursuline order, inspired by the vision of their founder and the school’s namesake.

Approximately 90% of the school’s population are from ethnic minority backgrounds.
