The Bishop of Winchester Academy is an oversubscribed and thriving Church of England School situated in a beautiful seaside resort with seven miles of award winning golden sands on our doorstep, on the edge of the Jurassic coast with excellent transport links to London and the rest of the UK.
We are currently looking to appoint an outstanding teacher who is passionate, dynamic, proactive and innovative. You will have excellent subject knowledge and will have experience of teaching at all Key Stages with expertise in delivering outstanding outcomes in Science (Physics desirable but not essential).
The successful applicant will be able to inspire, motivate and support in leading our strong science team. You will have a proven record of raising attainment and accelerating progress, whilst demonstrating effective teaching and learning at all times. Our Second in Department for Science will remain professional and pro-active, and will inspire and motivate colleagues and students.
This role would suit an aspirational teacher looking for a role in middle leadership and is the perfect role for candidates who have aspirations to become a head of department in the future. We have been recognised for our excellent CPD for middle leaders and growing our own.
