This is a truly exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious Teacher of Science to take their teaching career to the next stage as 2nd in Science within the department at The Mirfield Free Grammar.
We hope to add to our team after Easter, but we are flexible with a start date i.e. would consider after May half term.
As 2nd in the Science department you will play a key role in supporting the Head of Science with managing and developing the team as well as influencing the strategic direction of the department. You will play a key role in planning the next stages of development for the department; sharing ideas and best practice with the team.
We will expect you to be instrumental in helping to inspire and motivate both our staff and students. You will play a key role in helping to drive the Academy forward; raising standards and creating outstanding life chances for students.
We are looking to recruit a Deputy Leader who wants to inspire, is excited by learning and has a desire to further develop a career within a small, but ambitious, Multi-Academy Trust. As the second in department you will oversee the provision within the faculty for training of NQTs and RQTs and will lead and support all teachers to teach consistently good lessons. The successful candidate will be highly motivated and driven by a passion to deliver outstanding Teaching and Learning.
