ABOUT US
Britannia International School (BIS) is a young school that has opened with a vision to provide high-quality education to the international community in Guangzhou. We are the choice for families from 27 different countries. We operate as a non-profit member school of the larger Canadian International Educational Organisation (CIEO). As such we benefit from the security and guidance of an established organisation, whilst following our own vision to create an innovative school that champions STEAM and creativity.
OUR CURRICULUM
Currently, our classes range from Nursery to UK year 11, and we will continue to grow each year to offer A’ levels by 2022/3. Our teachers deliver the Cambridge Assessment framework in Primary and Secondary. We have accreditation from Cambridge Assessment. Alongside following the Cambridge Curriculum, we have a Chinese Language and Culture program and STEAM. Both STEAM and Chinese Language and Culture are delivered by specialist teachers to all students.
OUR SCHOOL
Britannia International School is located on Jinshazhou Island in the Baiyun District of Guangzhou. We are very fortunate to be a truly international school, as our students and teachers come from many different countries, our diversity is something we celebrate in regular events. The school campus includes a Music and Dance facility, Library, Art room, STEAM/idea lab, football pitch as well as open space areas for play and learning. All classrooms are fitted with interactive whiteboards and our teachers have a generous budget for resources.
For teachers, BIS offers an opportunity to join a small community where you will make difference. We are looking for forward-thinking teachers who can bring ideas and enthusiasm to help our school grow.
For August 2022 BIS plans to expand into A-Levels. We are looking fo dynamic, enthusiastic teachers with A-Level experience to implement a 3-year A-Level course to international students.
The initial offering of this course encompasses a pre-A-Level year to accommodate language needs of students from a varied backgoroud.
