A Level Teacher - Chemistry/Biology – based in Jakarta, Indonesia - Ref 174
Salary £21,924 to £26,931 (with possible progression to £31,218 subject to performance criteria)
A benefits package including accommodation, flights plus other benefits is available.

Barnsley College is seeking to recruit a Teacher to deliver A-levels at our Sixth Form in Jakarta starting in September 2016.

We are seeking people with a sense of adventure, motivated to working hard and making this project a success. You need to have at least 2 years’ experience in an educational environment and a full teaching qualification is required.

In return you will receive free accommodation, health insurance and two flights to and from the UK per year, along with generous annual leave entitlement and access to the Teachers’ Pension Scheme.

 Global Sevilla International School (GSIS) was founded in 2002, and has been a Centre for Cambridge International Examinations since 2003. The school has two campuses in Indonesia, at Puri Indah and Pulomas. Both are based in Jakarta, the nation’s capital and largest city with a population of 9.6 million. Puri Indah campus is based on 1.2 hectares of land, and contains multimedia rooms, IT lab, visual arts lab, science laboratories, library, canteen, swimming pool, mini-soccer field, outdoor basketball court, indoor-recreational spaces, and gymnasiums.

Early years teaching at GSIS follows the International Primary curriculum, with incorporation of Montessori philosophy. Secondary teaching is based around the IGCSE qualification, and the school offers the one-year NCC programme for High School Year 11 students who are seeking entrance to a university bachelor’s programme for business and other social majors such as Journalism, Hotel and Tourism, Design, and IT. The A Level qualification through Barnsley College is a special program at GSIS, focusing on A Level Science.
