An exciting opportunity has arisen for an A-Level Teacher to deliver AQA AS/A Level History and Politics at the main Baltic campus.
You should have a proven track record and experience of delivering excellent results at AS and A2. You must be an inspiring, dedicated, flexible and enthusiastic teacher and will have responsibility for preparation of high quality lesson documentation and resources and would be expected to share best practice and resources with all staff in the department.
You would be required to work as part of the course team and support the curriculum leader and manager to improve learner punctuality, attendance, retention, achievement and success. You must have experience teaching and assessing on
A- Level programmes and should have experience and knowledge of quality processes and procedures including internal moderation.
The role requires you to monitor and track the learner journey and to ensure appropriate support is implemented to maximise learner achievement, success and excellent outcomes for all learners. You will have a solution focused and positive work ethic and will share best practice with other members of the team. You will be required to be flexible in your approach with a ‘can-do, will-do’ attitude.
You should have excellent communication and ICT skills, be highly organised with excellent time management skills and be able to work independently as well as part of a team. You must be able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines. The successful applicants will have a related degree level/ vocational qualification in the curriculum area.
