About the Role

Carrol College is seeking an Aboriginal Education Worker is to support the classroom teacher in providing quality learning experiences for all students with a focus on providing class supervision while the teacher provides required support to students where needed. The CSA is designated to a teacher/class rather than an individual student/s. 

This position is temporary in nature as it is dependent on a specific programme which is not of an ongoing nature.  Should such funding be withdrawn, this Contract may be terminated earlier than the specified end date in line with the termination provisions contained within this Contract.


Essential Criteria

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

  • A commitment to the goals of Catholic education and a readiness to foster the aims and vision of the school in the wider community
  • Uses discretion and judgement in organising and achieving outcomes in time constraints
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, in particular the ability to relate well to students and to work in teams with staff members
  • Initiative and the ability to handle a number of tasks concurrently, working independently and flexibly to adjust to changing situations
