Oulder Hill Community School and Language College is a very successful school and the largest in Rochdale. The school serves a large area in the west of the borough. A multi-million pound PFI refurbishment has provided state-of-the-art facilities for students, staff and the community.  All at the school are committed to achieving the highest academic and social standards for students and to the well-being and continuous professional development of all staff.  It is an exciting time to join our journey as we seek to make further improvements to our provision for the benefit of our young people and the community we serve. .  The school achieved an A8 score of 46.7 compared to 46.5 predicted nationally in 2018 giving a P8 score of 0.05.  We have made great strides forward this year in English and Maths and our EBACC progress remains strong with a progress score of 0.19.  Our key groups of disadvantaged students and SEND K students are also making increasingly good progress.  This is something we are very proud of. 

The Governors are seeking to appoint a full-time, enthusiastic, well-qualified AC Humanities with responsibility for RS at an exciting time in the school’s development. The post is particularly suitable for an ambitious professional who is keen to undertake leadership and management responsibilities within the Faculty and to help move the Faculty on at this important time. We are looking for a dynamic teacher who uses current pedagogical thinking and research to develop both their own teaching and their leadership skills. The successful candidate would be joining a strong, hard-working team which is committed to achieving excellence and in which a creative approach to teaching and learning in Humanities is strongly encouraged.
