Future Academies believes that a knowledge-led curriculum is the best means to transform pupil outcomes and seeks a rising leader to join the team.

We are looking to appoint a passionate and committed individual with intellect, drive and a passion for excellence to join us, as we aim to develop both excellence in our pupils and forge new directions in education.

The role

You will be responsible for leading the teaching and learning within the school by way of the development and implementation of a teaching and learning strategic plan to ensure whole school improvement.

You will be an outstanding teacher who is able to share their practice with others. You will have  some leadership  experience of teaching and learning, particularly with an academic curriculum.  In addition, you will possess experience of using tracking and monitoring to drive higher achievement, together with motivation to ensure that Millbank Academy continues to be an innovative, high achieving and ambitious learning environment.

Who we are looking for

We are seeking bright, passionate and socially-minded individuals. Successful candidates will demonstrate:

• A strong academic record with a 2:1 degree or above from Oxford or Cambridge or another leading university.

• The enthusiasm and energy required to work with the children and young people in our schools.

• An unwavering belief in the power of education to change lives. Our Trust’s motto is libertas per cultum (freedom through education). We expect all teachers to share in, and feel empowered by, this concept.

• Commitment to our knowledge-led curriculum and support our educational vision.

• Outstanding teaching and the potential to be a dynamic, strategic leader.

Why choose us?

• A chance to help lead a knowledge rich school with the highest aspirations and standards.

• The expertise and support of colleagues across the Future Academies Trust.

• The chance to make a difference to children’s lives. Millbank  serves children from the most socially deprived communities: our teachers can therefore make a dramatic impact on the lives of these children.

• A warm welcoming community with well behaved children who are keen to learn.

• Excellent transport links and the opportunity to work in the heart of London.
