The successful applicant will be required to compliment the professional work of teachers by taking responsibilities for planning, preparing and delivering learning activities for individuals/groups and monitoring pupils and assessing, recording and reporting on pupils’ achievement, progress and development. To work in innovative ways with individuals or small groups of pupils to improve pupil progress
The successful applicants must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with a wide range of people including teachers, parents, pupils, and the Senior Leadership Team.
Applicants must have good organisational and time management skills and be able to work on their own initiative and as part of a team. Candidates should be able to demonstrate excellent literacy and numeracy skills with evidence of grade A*-C in Maths and English at GCSE level, evidence of academic study post 16 and Level 3/4 qualifications in the appropriate specialist subjects. The ability to use I.C.T. as a learning and reporting tool would be an advantage however training will be given.
Academic Coaches must maintain a high standard of personal appearance and act as a positive role model to the pupils. Experience of working with children and/or students is desirable.
