An exciting opportunity has arisen to join University College Birmingham’s CASE (Centre for Academic Skills and English) team as an Academic Development Tutor. You will be joining a highly-regarded team at an exciting time in UCB’s development, which has seen the opening of several first-class teaching/ study environments.
As a key part of the Learning Services directorate, you will join the team to provide 1:1 academic support for FE/HE students, in addition to providing bespoke academic skills support for groups/ in workshops. You will also contribute to the development of our high-quality online support packages.
You will have experience of supporting students with their academic skills in an HE educational setting and will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You will also be expected to approach your duties proactively.
