Due to the retirement of the current Head Teacher, the British School of Tenerife is seeking to appoint an Academic Director. The suitable candidate must be a fully qualified teacher with at least 5 years’ teaching experience and currently hold a senior management position in a British school in the U.K. or in an International school following the English national curriculum.
Preference will be given to candidates with experience in both primary and secondary education
Spoken Spanish (written desirable)
Degree from UK university and QTS
Minimum 3 years Academic management experience
Strong organisational and leadership skills
Experience of teacher recruitment
Broad range of teaching experience
Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office packages
Proven organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills
Accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work well within a team
Work experience at a British School in Spain is desirable
The British School of Tenerife is a BSO accredited school and a member of the National Association of British Schools in Spain (nabss).
