About Denstone College Preparatory School at Smallwood Manor

Denstone College Prep School is an independent prep school in Staffordshire which, together with our Smallwood Pre-school, caters for day children between the ages of 2 and 11.

We are part of the Woodard Group of Schools, the largest group of independent Church of England schools in England and Wales (www.woodard.co.uk)

We are committed to offering the highest standards of academic education coupled with a supportive and nurturing environment, where every individual is encouraged and valued. Our Year 6 pupils regularly gain exhibitions and scholarships to senior schools including Denstone College and Abbots Bromley School for Girls.

The school was last inspected by ISI in November 2007 and the current head is an ISI team inspector, as well as being a member of IAPS (The Independent Association of Prep Schools)

Facilities at the school are excellent and comprise separate Pre-school, Pre-Prep and Main Prep Departments, a modern Chapel, a heated covered swimming pool, a gym/drama hall, a music department, an art department and extensive playing fields and play areas.

The school is also a Forest School provider, ensuring that all children are outdoors in our beautiful grounds, learning about the environment as often as possible. We have a canopy classroom which is utilised frequently. For further information please visit www.denstoneprep.co.uk
