Academic Graduate

Stamford Endowed Schools are offering a fantastic opportunity for Academic Graduates from any discipline to join us for a two year programme, beginning September 2021.
We would like to hear from Graduates from all disciplines who are passionate, not just about their subject, but who can also offer leadership in some element of the schools extra-curricular programme, and who are interested in gaining experience in teaching.
The Graduate Teachers will become members of the academic staff, playing a full role in our busy independent day and boarding schools. If, after the first year, a Graduate wishes to pursue a career in teaching, we will assist and part fund a part-time PGCE course, so that they will leave Stamford with enhanced career prospects and the invaluable experience of teaching and living in a busy independent school.
At the end of the two year post we would normally expect Graduate Teachers to further their careers in other schools. However, should a position arise within the Stamford schools then we would be happy to consider an application.
Further information about the role is available in the applicant pack attached in the documents section above. To apply, please click on the green apply now button.
For an informal discussion about the role please contact Suzy MacCarthy, Head of Staff Development via email in the first instance at skmaccarthy@ses.lincs.sch.uk
Closing date for applications is Sunday 31 January 2021.
Interviews will be held at the end of February 2021
The Stamford Endowed Schools are fully committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. Applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening appropriate to the post, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS).
