Job overview

The college is looking to recruit an enthusiastic Academic Resource Centre Apprentice. The post holder will provide efficient and effective administration and clerical support to the Academic Advocacy Team and Opportunities and Destinations Team, in compliance with college policies and procedures.

To develop skills, knowledge and experience in all aspects of office administration, this will be through on the job training, attending meetings with the managers and assessor leading to the successful completion of the Business Administration Level 2 Apprenticeship Framework.

The post holder will receive training over the course of their apprenticeship in the provision of high quality administrative and clerical support.

John Leggott College is the best Sixth Form College in the region for students aged 16-19 offering a wide range of courses including A Levels and BTECs. John Leggott College is a mixed, selective, non-denominational, general further education college situated in Scunthorpe, North Lincolnshire. It is a 16-plus institution based on a single modern campus close to the town centre, with good access to surrounding rural areas. There are around 1,700 learners at the college, between the ages of 16-19, studying a range of academic and vocational courses.

The college was founded in 1958 as John Leggott Grammar School. The sixth form was established in 1968 in the midst of a Scunthorpe education reorganisation.
