Job overview
Interested in joining our Academy Council? We are looking for new school governors!
These are interesting and rewarding opportunities to become involved in the local governance of our school and its future strategic direction...
- We welcome applications from volunteers from across the community who are able to bring different skills, experience and perspectives to the role. Discussion is a key aspect of our approach, as is the ability to self-evaluate and uphold confidentiality.
- At The Bluecoat School, we would be particularly interested in applicants with experience in the following areas - student welfare and safeguarding, curriculum and achievement, student experience.
The roles are unpaid voluntary positions but extremely worthwhile and highly valued within our school community. Relevant training will be provided for all school governors in addition to attending at least five meetings per academic year and any occasional committees, if required.
Please note that we reserve the right to interview and appoint prior to the closing date.
