Job overview
We are seeking an excellent candidate to be our interim Access & Inclusion Manager for a period of up to 12 months, covering the absence of the permanent postholder. The equivalent annual salary would be £36,465 (subject to any cost of living increases within the year).
The Interim AIC Manager plays a pivotal role within our Access & Inclusion Faculty, working closely with the Head of Access & Inclusion Faculty/SENDCo to ensure high-quality provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
Key responsibilities include:
Managing the day-to-day running of the Access & Inclusion Centre
Leading and delivering targeted interventions for individuals and small groups
Supporting the development and implementation of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs)
Line managing and developing HLTAs and Teaching Assistants
Working collaboratively with teaching staff, pastoral teams, parents/carers and external agencies
Monitoring, evaluating and improving the impact of SEND provision
This is a hands-on role combining leadership, teaching, and strategic support for inclusion across the school.
We are looking for a candidate who:
Has significant experience supporting students with SEND in a school setting
Holds HLTA status (or equivalent experience) and strong knowledge of SEND practice and the SEND Code of Practice
Has experience of leading or coordinating staff and interventions
Is highly organised, proactive and committed to inclusive education
Is supportive of, and sympathetic to, the ethos and values of a Church of England school
This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check.
