Job overview

Oakbank School are looking for a full time access Arrangements and SEN  on a permanent contract.

Acting as the school’s main point of contact for staff and parents in relation to existing or proposed exam access arrangements.

To oversee the daily running of the student support centre triage room.  This entails greeting students who have left lessons due to emotional or behavioural difficulties.  Work closely with these students to support them returning to the classroom or accessing further support

Oakbank School is a small school but with a big heart. Since joining the Anthem Trust the school has seen a marked change in its fortunes and is now known for its calm classrooms, strong focus on behaviour and well-developed teaching and learning. There are weekly staff briefings lead by the head and whole school CPD meetings as the school works hard to develop itself on a journey to outstanding. The staff body is small but highly committed and staff absence rates are incredibly low. Whilst our 2020 OFSTED report records a “require improvement” with 4 categories rated as ‘’GOOD’’ we are ambitious and determined enough to strive for ‘’OUTSTANDING’’ in our next inspection.

The site is well spaced out and set in a semi-rural location surrounded by farmland, there is plenty of parking on site and the village of Three Mile Cross is served by buses from central Reading, with easy access to the East and West M4 corridor via junction 11 and the A33 South to Basingstoke.
