Job overview

We are seeking to appoint a qualified, experienced and talented ARP Manager for our NAS accredited Access Centre. The Access Centre is our specialist provision for students with a primary diagnosis of autism and an EHCP. The school is committed to providing excellent support for students with autism throughout their curriculum experience in order to remove barriers to learning and raise achievement.

Raynes Park High School is a vibrant, student-focussed 11 – 19 secondary school rated “Good” by Ofsted in January 2019. We foster a strong community and have great pride in our students and their achievements.  Whilst the students are at the centre of everything we do, we recognise and value our dedicated and committed staff.  We are actively seeking ways to enable our staff to achieve a balance between the exacting demands of their profession and their lives outside work.  Above all we aim to ensure that every student is inspired to learn and achieves the best they can as a result of outstanding teaching and learning.

This is a wonderful opportunity to be part of our school and join the Access Centre team. The Access Centre provides extensive support to students with autism.  You will work collaboratively with our highly experienced Head of Inclusion and Access Centre team.  We are looking forward to appointing an inspiring and organised individual who will continue to provide the outstanding service of support for our students and contribute substantially to the development of the Access Centre.

About Raynes Park High School

We are committed to excellence and our mission is to develop resilient, respectful young people who make exceptional progress and achieve their full potential. Our unrelenting focus is to provide the best possible educational experience for our students within a well-ordered and purposeful learning environment.

We have very high expectations of our students and our ethos for learning and achievement is based on exceptional teaching, a challenging curriculum and high standards of behaviour. Through a culture of ambition and success, everyone at RPHS is driven towards continuous self and school improvement.

We also strive to provide a first class experience outside of the classroom. There is a wide and varied range of enrichment and extra-curricular opportunities and these contribute as much to the development and success of our students as their academic experiences. We are the first state school in the country to be recognised as a BECSLink community and as part of this association; we have been awarded Tim Henman Scholarships for talented students to pursue their interests out of school.

The school has made rapid improvements in recent years; our most recent Ofsted inspection rated us as good in all categories and we are committed to further driving up standards in our quest to be exceptional in all that we do.
