Achievement Coordinator – salary L3-5 (starting £41,368)
Start date: September 2018
We are seeking an ambitious and inspirational practitioner to lead one of our three pastoral houses. The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Leadership and Pastoral team to raise standards and will have the drive and ability to lead student development and achievement in your house. You will manage a team of tutors and will be accountable for high standards of student progress and implementing strategies for effective intervention. Potential is as important as experience so applications are invited from those currently with similar responsibility or looking for promotion. Bohunt School Worthing is a new Academy that opened in September 2015 with Year 7 and 8 only. We moved into state of the art buildings in September 2016 and have grown to 600 students across Years 7-10.
Our Achievement Coordinators have overall responsibility for a House made up of Tutor groups from Y7-Y10 (currently c.200 students). As a growing school this is an exciting opportunity for a teacher who aspires to whole school leadership or is looking for a pastoral leadership role. The pastoral team is committed to ensuring that students are well supported in and out of school so that they can fulfil their potential. Since opening the team have developed a wide range of strategies whether it be to recognise success or support students. They are committed to trialling new ideas to ensure that all students have every opportunity to make excellent progress and fulfil their potential.
