The Hammond seeks to invite applicants for our new position of a part time Acting Coach. The appointee will be a dynamic and accomplished practitioner in who has experience in training professional actors. This post is suitable for individuals with professional and industry experience as well as experience working with Further and Higher Education students in a studio coaching environment.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
To develop and improve the quality of acting at The Hammond. The appointee will work across three across three strands:
- 6th Form Drama Course,
- Level 6 Diploma Courses in both Professional Musical Theatre and Professional Dance
- BA (Hons) in Musical Theatre Performance Course
Through effective teaching and coaching this role will ensure students are receiving training of a professional standard in order to prepare them for the industry. We are seeking a practitioner who has professional experience in teaching acting through movement and/or physical theatre.
The post holder will be a dynamic and inspirational teacher who is able to engage students in a love of learning. The post would suit professionally trained, experienced qualified teachers with industry experience and who want to work in a vibrant and engaging environment. This is a part time role working approximately 12 hours per week.
