Saint Ignatius’ College Riverview was established in 1880 as a Catholic boys’ school in the Jesuit tradition. We are Located in Lane Cove and acknowledge the Cammeraigal people who are the Traditional Custodians of this land upon which we are privileged to live and educate.  This leading independent school delivers a holistic education to both day and boarding students from Years 5 to 12.

The College is seeking applications for the full-time position of Acting Head of Information Services commencing Monday 12th July 2021 to Friday 8th April 2022.

The Acting Head of Information Services exercises effective team leadership for the development and support of an efficient library and digital services team.  The function of this team is to deliver a broad range of informational, educational and digital services to students and teachers which support the mission of the College.

The successful candidate will:

• demonstrate strategic leadership capabilities and have a well-developed understanding of contemporary educational issues and pedagogical approaches related to the faculty and broader school context

• hold a teaching qualification and eligibility to teach in NSW through NESA

• hold a teacher librarian qualification

• demonstrated experience in the use of ICT in learning

• demonstrate an understanding of and a commitment to the Mission and Values of the College

• demonstrate a commitment to continuous improvement and professional development

• demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills

• demonstrate high level administrative and organisational skills

• A current Working with Children Check and be committed to safeguarding and promoting the safety, welfare and well-being of children and young people
