About the role
To be a member of the core team at Haringey Music Service, helping to coordinate the prestigious “Haringey Young Musicians” programme of out-of-school ensembles meeting weekly; assisting the Head of Service with financial management; concert and tour planning; setting up short-term projects and courses; new initiatives; music examinations; publicity/website/social media; fund-raising and with opportunities to be involved with instrumental coaching.
About you
This job would be ideal for a Music graduate who is seeking a career in arts administration or arts education. You need to have a good understanding of music education, concert logistics, a wide variety of musical genres and working with children & young people. Advanced ICT skills are essential, including use of databases, finance systems and spreadsheets. Excellent presentation & communication skills are also essential.
Opportunities would also be available to suitably qualified applicants to be directly involved with some instrumental music coaching of children and young people. This is, however, not an essential requirement.
