35 hours per week 52 weeks

The Activity Centre Play Worker is responsible for engaging and supporting children and young people who access the Activity Centre and Hospital School. 

The role requires a flexible and creative approach in engaging and working with children and young people from pre-school to teenage; the kind of support required changes regularly depending on the needs of the individual and the activities on offer.

You will need:

· a professional approach and an ability to quickly establish a positive rapport with young people, families and professionals 

· a minimum of 2 years consecutive experience working with children or young people

· previous experience of a supervisory role 

· to show initiative and be able to plan and deliver workshop style activities 

· an ability to be flexible and to adapt to an ever changing environment

· Grade C minimum in GCSE English and Maths
